Disney adds more content from its stable to Apple iTunes

Entertainment giants Disney have announced the availability of more content material from its stable on the Apple iTunes digital store. Walt Disney would now be offering content from their ESPN and ABC sports programming in addition to their existing shows on the Apple iTunes store for sale. Owners of Apple iPod Video players can purchase and download these to watch them on the move.

Disney has said that they plan to offer condensed versions of all four U.S. Bowl Championship Series college football games this season along with additional content from the ABC Entertainment, Touchstone Television, ABC Family, ABC News, Buena Vista Television, the Disney Channel, and SOAPnet. They are already offering episodes from the hit television series “Desperate Housewives” and “Lost” on iTunes.

Disney was the first company to join hands with Apple to bring video content on their online store. Now, many other television studios including NBC are offering their content with many more considering joining the bandwagon. NBC is offering content from their popular shows like “Law & Order” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Apple iTunes.

Disney has further plans to add more content in the form of episodes from other shows like “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and “School House Rock”.
