In order to promote use of internet on the fixed line, BSNL has decided to introduce the following plans:
Plan
Monthly charges – Usage charges
Plan 499 – 0
The above plans are subject to the following conditions:
1. The internet usage charges will be payable separately by the customer to the concerned ISP. In places where CLI based Internet facility is available, the additional charges@Rs. 0.10/- per minutes shall be payable. ;
2. This scheme is considered only where surplus capacity is available.
3. Only existing customers of BSNL can avail of the second telephone exclusively for Internet.
4. The scheme is available to only individual customers and not for commercial users like Internet Dhabas, Internet Cafes etc.
5. No telephone instrument will be provided for this connection.
6. No installation charges will be taken for providing this second connection
7. The first connection against which the second connection is being taken should have the required ARD/Security as per the existing policy.

Im from Ahmedabad. I have a P4 computer as well as internet connection. But the problem is that my internet connection gets disconnected every 5 minutes or less than that. If sometimes, by chance it got connected for 10-15 minutes, im not able to get the connection @ speed of more than 10kbps. Im now deciding whether I should keep this BSNL connection or go for TATA connection which is far more better than this dirty bsnl connection. Please advise me what action should I take.

After a long years waiting I have received a BSNL WLL Phone connection in my home. It is in Alangadu exchange, ernakulam dit. When I get connection I told to the concerned staff that I need land line connection not WLL. They said they are providing now only WLL phones. Now the difficulty for us is that there is no range if we bring the telephone from one room to another and also when close the windows. We requested for changing this telephone but no response from them. please make necessary action for this.

As for your complaints and enquiries
All local BSNL offices ( Telephone Exchange ) have public grievances cell and they have to listen to you for 30mins at least. Then if you are satisfied then complaint is closed.
BSNL service varies from region to region and corruption again is rampant. It can randomly affect anyone with BSNL whether new or old subscribers. So be vigilant and any billing errors get complaints registered at the BSNL Office.
Personally, I prefer private providers like Airtel whose services are sh*t but dont try to fleece you.
At least they think of upgrading the connections every 2 and half years or so.
Good luck in getting connected from Villages or rural areas.

This is to inform you that I holder of a public call office in Kerala Ernakulam District under Kalady exchange haveing a cable fault occured on 3rd Jully 2008 till date it is not rectified.. I have contacted ‘198′ the complaint number and 0484 – 2462400, 2462600, 2462590, 24627000 in theses days but no steps yet not taken to correct the mistake from the BSNL authority … and today I directly meet the JEO Mrs. Sajitha and she promised to correct it now itself and she contacted the line man. Mr. Viswanathan & Mr. Sukumaran .. after all that evenents its 1.30 pm .. no procations taken.. what I do
