Jet Airways names Garry Kingshott as their new Chief Commercial Officer

One of India’s dominating private airline company Jet Airways has announced the appointment of Gerry Kingshott as their new Chief Commercial Officer. Gerry is an Australian national and he would be taking over his new job from the month of March 2006. He is quite an experienced management individual and brings over 31 years of corporate experience to Jet Airways.

Not only that Gerry has spent more than 10 years of his professional life in the aviation sector which is going to help the company handle the increasing competition from newer players in the market. He would be overseeing departments like marketing and sales, commercial, airport services and all aspects of customer services in his new company.

He is also going to look over the growth plans of Jet airways both in domestic and international markets. Gerry’s appointment would coincide with the retirement of Airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Peter Luethi whose contract ends in April end. Peter is moving his base to the United States and the company has no plans to fill this position for the time being.
