Justice Department answers Google’s concerns

The US DoJ had recently contacted the search engine giant Google asking them to submit a database of random search queries on their search engines by the average internet user. Google however, rejected by saying that the company respects the privacy of their users and would not reveal any such information, which might affect the user’s confidence in using Google services.

However, now the Justice Department in the US has responded to these concerns made by the search engine company. They have said that the concerns are unwarranted because the information provided would not identify or be traceable to specific users.

They have provided a brief through an 18-page document in reply to the Google’s concern about revealing information about searches made on their various search engines. US DoJ believes that such information would help them revive an online child protection law that has been blocked by the U.S. Supreme Court.
