Computing Which? asks eBay to be more careful and responsible
A consumer interests magazine Computing Which? has said in a statement that the online ecommerce giants eBay should be more careful and responsible with the transactions, which takes place on their online stores.
They have asked the company to take serious steps to control the amount of fraud, which takes place almost on regular bases on their online service. EBay has been asked to be more proactive in identifying fraud users to prevent losses for the innocent customers.
Computing Which? has also asked eBay to warn users about the danger of fraud and to crack down on the selling of illegal medical accessories online. eBay on their part have responded that the group already offers a “safety centre” to help protect its users.
The magazine’s editor, Jessica Ross said in a statement: “Many people see eBay as a bit of fun, like Friends Reunited, and no one’s denying that it’s quick and easy to use. But there’s plenty of opportunity for criminals to cash in too.”
