K800 and K790: Sony Ericsson launches Cybershot branded mobile phones
Sony might be finding it hard to match the popularity of iPod range of mobile phones with their digital music players. But, they are doing well with their Walkman branded mobile phones, which are quite popular in the market.
Now, the company has similar plans to promote mobile phones using their Cybershot brand for digital cameras as they have now launched new mobile phone products, which they believe, are good enough to represent this brand.
Sony Ericsson has launched six new mobile phones and out of these two are branded Cybershot. Sony Ericsson head of global product marketing Steve Walker said in a statement on these new launches: “These phones deliver the same digital still camera experience as Cyber-shot. It is only now that we felt we could adopt the reputable Cyber-shot brand.â€
The new camera phones from the company, K800 and K790 mobile phones feature a 3.2 megapixels auto focus camera and come with an image stabilizer, a flash which is brighter than usual for mobile phones and a sensor that can snap nine full resolution images within a second.
