Nokia’s head of design Frank Nuovo leaves the company
One of the primary reasons behind the success of Nokia is the innovative designs they have. The company sells one in every third phone sold in the market and a lot of credit goes to the designs of the models, which lures in the customers for the company.
However, the company is now losing their head of designing Frank Nuovo who has worked in the company for a long 16 years. Nuovo would now hand over his work to another innovative designer Alastair Curtis who is responsible for developing the Nokia’s lowest-cost handsets.
Nuovo would however continue to work in a consulting role and stay as principal designer at Vertu, which is the Nokia’s luxury phone brand. Nokia has also said that they are planning to reorganize and centralize design in a global team to oversee all of its handsets.
The company is facing a challenge to dominate the market leaders Motorola in the North American market. And they can get all the help they want from a fresh mind to do a brilliant job for this cluttered but high demand market in the coming years.
