T-Mobile to launch mobiles with branded Opera Mini browser
Opera Software ASA has established themselves as the leaders in developing web browsers for mobile phones. The makers of the popular Opera Browser for desktop released Opera Mini browser for low-end phones capable of running Java.
Now, mobile service provider T-Mobile has announced that they would soon be launching mobile phones with preinstalled branded Opera Mini Browser. This application would help the company extend their “web’n'walk” mobile Internet offering to a wider market considering Opera Mini supports really low end mobiles.
Earlier, T-Mobile could only offer this capability to owners of higher end mobile phones. They are going to launch three phones that include Opera Mini. These would be Sony Ericsson K608i, Motorola V3/V3i, and Nokia 6280. These phones are expected to be launched in the market with preinstalled Opera Mini later this year.
Opera made this announcement at the ongoing CeBIT trade show being held in Germany.
