Microsoft showcases the Origami Device!
Software giants Microsoft have finally showcased their much-awaited gadget Origami at the CeBIT trade show in Hanover. This concept has been making big news in the media after some bloggers discovered the website devoted to the project. Microsoft kept the whole project under wraps with little details being revealed every week.
However, a video made it on the net, which the software company confirmed was of one of the early prototypes of this upcoming device. We now have official pictures available online of one of the two products, which would be launched in the retail market by next month.
This ultra compact computing device runs Windows XP with a Touchscreen and wireless connectivity. It lacks a keyboard but comes equipped with a Touchscreen technology based keyboard. The device shown to the media came with a 7-inch touch-sensitive screen that responds to a stylus or the tap of a finger.

Microsoft claims that the devices being planned for launch next month would be about an inch thick and weigh less than 2 1/2 pounds. Later versions would be upgraded with the Windows Vista operating system, which is scheduled to be launched later this year.
