Motorola Razr glitch causes delays for customers
Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile USA have temporarily stopped shipping the hugely popular Motorola Razr mobile phone after a glitch was noticed in some units shipped to the mobile service providers.
This glitch resulted in abrupt disconnection while calling. Motorola has confirmed the problem and has said that it affects just a couple of units and they are working on fixing them. However, this problem is not expected to affect the sales for the quarter.
Motorola spokeswoman Jennifer Weyrauch said in a statement: “Motorola continues to ship new Razr handsets in volume to customer distribution centers and retail availability is expected to be normal across all markets by next week.â€
Peter Dobrow, a T-Mobile spokesman added: “It’s virtually impossible to identify at retail which units have the defective component.†However, the phones being shipped to Verizon are said to be fine as they uses different components considering the difference in mobile technology used by the company.
