Mahindra & Mahindra launches the new updated Scorpio
Utility vehicles major Mahindra and Mahindra have updated its most popular model available in the Indian market, Scorpio. The company has further said that they would soon be investing Rs 100 crore to raise production at its Nasik plant.
The company uses this plant to manufacture Scorpio and would soon be launching the Logan sedan in collaboration with Renault. M&M president (Automotive Sector), Pawan Goenka said in a statement on their upcoming plans: “We will be raising the capacity from 330 units a day to 570 units and expect this to be completed in the next 12-18 months.â€
The new model of Scorpio reportedly comes with as many as 43 improvements. Mahindra & Mahindra is also considering increasing the number of units of Scorpio they manufacture everyday to meet up with the growing demand for this car.
The company said in a statement that they had invested around Rs 30 crore on the project, which took about 18 months to upgrade the Scorpio to this latest version. They have not changed the price of the updated model yet and it features both internal and external changes in addition to improved suspension.
