One Dollar: Apple Computer’s Chief Steve Jobs salary
Apple Computer has stated that they are continuing to pay the token salary of USD 1 to their chief Steve Jobs who has single handedly revolutionized the comeback of the company in the market.
However, Steve won’t be very worried considering Apple is having one of the greatest years in their history and his net worth is improving massively as the share price is touching new heights.
Job has been taking this 1-dollar salary since many years now. He was however awarded 10 million restricted shares of Apple stock in March 2003, which would be fully vested this month. Overall, he owns about 1.2 percent of Apple’s outstanding shares.
The company board had earlier this year suggested that the company should issue more cash bonuses. This is considering the board felt that the senior executives were still underpaid.
