Moto Razr back in stores after manufacturing defect issues
Motorola’s Razr mobile phone has been a huge success in the US market. However, the company suffered a minor setback when some units of the phone were found to have a manufacturing defect, which led to dropped calls. This further resulted in Cingular and T-Mobile delaying the sales of this hugely popular mobile model in the market.
However, the phone is now making a comeback in the stores. However, in limited numbers as Motorola seems to have found the problem and has fixed the glitch. Schaumburg-based Motorola had earlier confirmed that a limited number of cell phones were affected which were shipped after February 1.
The distributors received fresh batches of the Moto Razr mobile phones. However, it would still take time for all the stores to receive their batches of this phone. Supplies are expected to be widely available by the end of the week. Motorola said that the fault lied in a component, which disconnected calls when the flip phones opened.
