Dell confirms that they have not acquired Alienware

World’s largest manufacturer of personal computers Dell has clearly denied that there is no truth in the rumors floating around in the market that they have acquired the makers of performance machines Alienware.

The rumors began after Rahul Sood — CEO of US-based OEM PC vendor Voodoo PC posted about such a possibility on his Blog. The rumors spread around the world like a wildfire being circulated around through blogs and news channels.

Sood had said on his Blog: “The PC gaming market is threatening Dell’s ‘perceived technology leadership’ – and ultimately the consumer space. The Alienware brand is cooler than Dell, and perhaps a likely candidate for Dell to take over based on size alone.”

Alienware on their part have yet to deny the rumors but the market analysts still believe that such a deal would give Dell an entry into the highly lucrative performance gaming machine market, which has huge margins for the manufacturers.

Dell has also said in a statement that they are perfectly capable of manufacturing high performance machines themselves without requiring to acquire another company for this purpose.
