Apple offers first complete movie for download on Apple iTunes

Apple Computers is the dominating player in the digital music sales market with their Apple iTunes store. The company began selling video content from this service sometime last year and has been quite successful along with the sales of the iPod Video digital player, which is capable of playing video content on the move.

The company has now quietly launched their first full-length movie on the store and it is available for sale on Apple iTunes at a somewhat disappointing price of USD 9.99. Interestingly, when the users first noticed this movie for sale on the store, it was priced at a modest USD 1.99.

This movie available on the Apple iTunes store is Disney’s “High School Musical” and highlights the fact that Steve Jobs appointment on the board of Disney has finally showing its results.

Apple Computers has not commented on this new addition to their store and there is no information on whether they plan to expand this service offering in the near future. The company has been rumored to be considering a fully-fledged movie store online in the coming months.
