Google’s AOL investment to complete by this coming second quarter
Search engine giants Google has stated that they are expecting their investment in the online media company America Online complete by the second quarter of 2006. This has been a bit delayed as compared to what the two companies had originally expected.
Google had agreed to acquire 5% of the internet division of Time Warner some three months alone to keep AOL on their client’s list as Microsoft had shown interest in collaborating with them for their online advertisement services.
Google now expects their investment in AOL to end before the month of June as they stated in a report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. They have however not stated any particular reason for this unexpected delay.
AOL is already the biggest online alliance for the search engine company, which makes bulk of their revenues from online advertisements. As per their annual report, AOL accounts for nearly 9% of complete earnings made through online advertisements.
The renewed deal between the two companies would see a better collaboration between the services of AOL and Google.
