Mercedes launches latest edition of the Mercedes-Benz S-class and M-Class
DaimlerChrysler India has finally unveiled the latest editions of their highly luxurious Mercedes-Benz S-class and M-Class cars for the first time in South India. Dr Wilfried Aulbur, MD and CEO, Daimler Chrysler India said about this launch event: “We are committed to offer our customers the latest products in the least possible time. A case in point is the introduction of the new S-class unveiled today, this introduction is parallel to the US market launch and clearly demonstrates Daimler Chrysler’s seriousness about the Indian market.â€
The company highlighted the new features in these new variants of their cars. The new Mercedes-Benz M-Class comes equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission 7G-TRONIC fitted as standard, a more effective four-wheel drive system 4-ETS, AIRMATIC air suspension and the anticipatory occupant protection system PRE-SAFE.
The company has also improved the S-Class car comprehensively raising the standards for the competition which is improving in this segment with the entry of Audi and BMW. Mercedes also revealed the pricing of these new variants of the cars. While the new S-Class will cost Rs 81 lakhs for the basic model, the M-Class will cost Rs 56 lakhs.
Mercedes is also making available their super luxurious brand Maybach that has been priced at a super hefty Rs 5.20 crore.
