Maruti to start driving schools around the country
India’s largest maker of automobiles in the domestic market Maruti Udyog has announced their plans to setup world class driving schools in around 15 cities around the country.
These would start within the next three months and they have already started two of them in Kerala. These are located in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. These are the first driving schools of their kind in India and this should start a trend, which is expected to be adopted by the other automobile manufacturers in the country.
Maruti is now planning to open more such centers in cities like Jammu, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Chennai along with others. The company began testing this concept by opening test centers in Bangalore, Chandigarh, and Kollam last year.
The company is having a successful year with Alto and Swift being the best sellers in their class. Maruti recently announced their decision to withdraw Maruti Zen from the market and are planning to massively update the vehicle for launch in the coming months.
Maruti is also scheduled to launch diesel variants of Swift and other models in addition to a sedan model of Swift in the coming months.
