Microsoft MSN Search suffers a four-hour long downtime
Microsoft has confirmed that their search engine service MSN Search was down for around four hours yesterday. However, not many people would have noticed it considering MSN lags behind Google Search by a very long margin. It made big news when Google Service went down for a couple of minutes (or hours) sometime last year!
The company said in a statement that they are still analyzing on the reasons behind this downtime. MSN Search is the third most used search engine in the US market and provided around 10.7 percent of all U.S. search results in February.
Users were not able to use this service between 8:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. yesterday as they were directed to a page saying the following message:
“Our team is working to restore service as quickly as possible.”
