Verizon V Cast subscribers to get access to Atom, TBS content
Verizon has said in a statement that the subscribers of their V Cast service would soon get access to a wider selection of programming. This would include content developed and provided by Atom Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting System.
Atom Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting System have signed on an agreement with the mobile service provider at the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Assn. conference in Las Vegas.
This would mean that Atom Entertainment for the first time would be focusing their attention on the growing number of users who access the internet using their mobile devices. Atom CEO Mika Salmi said on this deal: “We have had our eye on mobile phones since our inception.â€
Turner Broadcasting on the other hand has been already providing Verizon Wireless with CNN video-on-demand in several categories. The new agreement would see content from Cartoon Network, “Adult Swimâ€, and Turner Classic Movies to be made available for the V Cast service.
