Mahindra & Mahindra is the market leaders in the utility vehicles segment in the Indian auto market. And they have now crossed a major milestone by selling more than one lakh units of the popular Scorpio model.
Dr. Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra said on this occasion: “Four years after its launch, in FY06, we produced a record 33,882 Scorpios; and now we are proud that the 1,00,000th Scorpio has rolled out of the assembly line at our Nashik plant. It is a tribute to the way the vehicle was conceptualized and designed to fit the needs and expectations of the new age car buyer.â€
This milestone was reached when the company came close on the heels of two other significant milestones. Mahindra & Mahindra has already sold more than 1,00,000 units of Bolero. And they recently launched an updated version of the Scorpio with 43 new features.
