NASA to continue taking services from Russia Space Agency
With NASA still struggling with their Space Shuttle program, they have confirmed that the space agency would continue to purchase services from Russia.
This is required to continue their work on the development of the international space station and deliver supplies. The crew is also replaced after a couple of months. And all these would require NASA to use the spacecrafts owned by Russia.
NASA chief Mike Griffin has confirmed that the US based space agency would continue purchasing Russia’s space services to supply Soyuz spacecraft rides for US crewmembers to the International Space Station.
However, they have declined to reveal the cost of this program. Griffin said that it was a commercial secret and they have discussed it during the negotiations with the Russian space agency.
He was talking to the media personals after the 12th crew of the International Space Station returned safely to Earth early Sunday.
