Dell Inc sees growth from India and China
Dell Inc is already the world’s largest manufacturer of personal computers and the company now wants to expand its presence in the Indian and Chinese market for further growth. The company suffered less than expected growth last year and has now said that they are aiming at seizing opportunities in emerging markets like China and India.
Ro Parra, senior vice president for Dell’s Americas business said in a statement on their plans for the these markets: “If we had the same geographic market share outside the U.S. as we have in the U.S., our company would be twice as big. The geographic focus to further growth is very important to us.â€
The company now aims to achieve $100 billion in annual revenue in the next couple of years from the current level of $55.9 billion. However, they have not specified on how soon they plan to achieve this growth target.
Dell would be targeting their business partners in USA to expand into other countries. Chief Executive Kevin Rollins said on these plans: “It’s essentially the same way we’ve done it in every country in the world.â€
