Skoda Auto registers improved sales
Skoda Auto, one of the many subsidiaries of the German Volkswagen group has reported an impressive 18.5-percent surge in first quarter sales. They are already the biggest car producer in the Czech Republic.
The company said that sales of their cars touched 129,778 units in this period, which is an improvement of 18.5 percent on a 12-month comparison. Skoda Auto showed improvements in all of their popular three models available on sale in the market.
The sales of their small car Skoda Fabia was up by 7.2 percent. Skoda Octavia showed improvements by around 31.7%. The top of the line Skoda Superb sales were up by an impressive 14.7 percent.
Skoda Auto said in a statement: “Skoda Auto is therefore heading for record full year sales.†They recorded improvement in sales in all their major markets around the world. The company has a presence here in India and sells three models. Skoda Octavia is sold along with its newer version named Skoda Laura. In addition, the company also has on sale the top of the line Skoda Superb edition in India.
