Disney rumored to be considering showing shows online for free
Entertainment industry giants Disney which recently acquired the movie studios Pixar is rumored to be considering telecasting the episodes of their popular shows on the net for free.
These webcast of their popular television shows would be supported by advertisements and users would not be allowed to skip through them using proper software technologies.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that the company is planning to telecast hugely popular television shows like “Desperate Housewives” and “Lost” on a totally revamped web section of their website.
WSJ claims that the shows would be made available online a day after they are telecasted on the network. These episodes would also be archived so that viewers can watch them as they please.
Sounds like a great idea. However, what would happen to the buyers of these episodes on the Apple iTunes web store?
