Bajaj Auto launches a new 100-cc bike, Platina

Bajaj Auto is continuing their offense on the domination of the market leaders Hero Honda and has launched a new 100 cc bike Platina. The company expects this model to become their highest selling bike in the coming months.

This model has been launched in two variants costing Rs. 34,000 and Rs. 36,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). This would compliment the existing CT100 model from the company in the lower segment of the bike market.

Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto said during the launch ceremony: “We are confident that Platina should be able to do about 70,000-75,000 units a month and gradually become the largest selling bike in our portfolio, ahead of CT100.”

In addition, Bajaj Auto also has plans to setup a new plant in Uttaranchal to expand their capacity of manufacturing these bikes. Bajaj added: “Over the last two years, we have increased our market share from 24 per cent to 31 per cent along with increased operating margins which have grown from 15-16 per cent to 17 per cent.”

They also have plans to launch CNG and LPG two-wheelers over the next 12 months. In addition, the company is planning to launch their four-wheel cargo vehicles in the coming years. Bajaj said on these plans: “What we are developing is a dual-fuel two-wheeler which will, apart from CNG/LPG, also have the option of running on petrol.”

not big tyres.please put some big tyres like of pulsar & karizma.a bike more close to ducati is the best choice to make this bikes good looks

something is missing either the lenth between tyres are less or the seat is longer, actually it gives a little bit odd looks that is back portion of the bike is more far from its rear tyre.

well i think platina has all quality but the missing thing is this that it`s look is not like discover and pulsar. it`s not a heavy bike like them . so look is not to good and heavy.
