Mahindra & Mahindra to launch Renault Logan sedan by late 2007

It is old news that Mahindra & Mahindra has collaborated with Renault of France to launch some of their models here in the Indian market.

The first model planned is the Logan sedan and Mahindra expects it to be available in the retail market by late 2007.

The partnership between the two companies is a 51:49 joint venture and is named Mahindra Renault Limited. News sources say that this model would be positioned in the B/C segment of the market.

However, no prices have been revealed by the company. Mahindra & Mahindra is also planning to launch some more Renault models depending upon their feasibility for the Indian market.

The launch of Logan would also be the first time that M&M would be entering into the lucrative passenger car segment in India. They are already a dominating player in the utility vehicle segment in the market and make popular models like Scorpio and Bolero.
