Apple to open a new campus in Cupertino, California

Makers of popular digital music players iPod, Apple Computers is planning to build a new, 50-acre campus near its present headquarters in Cupertino, California.

This information was revealed by the company CEO Steve Jobs. Jobs said in a statement: “What’s happened at Apple is that our business has basically tripled in the last five or six years.”

He added that this new campus would take three to four years to complete and it would have around 3,000 to 3,500 employees.

Jobs further added in a statement to the city council members: “We’re pretty thrilled. Since we’re your largest taxpayer, I thought you might be happy for us.”

The company is doing tremendously and is now looking towards expanding their market base in the personal computer market.
