Apple to open a new campus in Cupertino, California
Makers of popular digital music players iPod, Apple Computers is planning to build a new, 50-acre campus near its present headquarters in Cupertino, California.
This information was revealed by the company CEO Steve Jobs. Jobs said in a statement: “What’s happened at Apple is that our business has basically tripled in the last five or six years.â€
He added that this new campus would take three to four years to complete and it would have around 3,000 to 3,500 employees.
Jobs further added in a statement to the city council members: “We’re pretty thrilled. Since we’re your largest taxpayer, I thought you might be happy for us.”
The company is doing tremendously and is now looking towards expanding their market base in the personal computer market.
