Cisco sets up a R&D lab at Hanoi University of Technology
Networking hardware giants Cisco Systems have teamed up with the Hanoi University of Technology.
Cisco is opening a research and development (R&D) lab in Vietnam at this university. It would be supported by the Cisco’s University Research Program and would be managed by HUT’s Bach Khoa Networking Academy.
HUT’s Bach Khoa Networking Academy is incidentally a training center for network managers also established by Cisco. The lab would be run in collaboration between researchers at HUT and other universities and research organizations.
Cisco’s University Research Program would be funding research at this new facility. The aim of this new establishment is to give Vietnamese researchers more exposure and access to more advanced technology. Cisco would benefit as the products and technologies developed at this lab would eventually make it into their products.
