Apple to rely on ads for free iTunes services
Apple Computers is the latest company, which is entering the phenomena of online advertisement. They would soon be putting on advertisements on its popular iTunes service. This might be further extended to other mediums promoted by the company like the other content areas or on iPods.
This would bring a completely new medium for the companies to advertise upon considering iPod is the most popular digital music player out there and Apple iTunes is the world’s largest seller of digital music and video content.
However, consumer would not like the idea of now listening or watching ads when using the freely provided content on Apple iTunes. For now, Apple is planning to show the ads only on the lower-left corner of the iTunes library while users listen to podcasts from their computers rather than from portable devices.
ESPN Radio is one of the services working with Apple to apply these online advertisement modules on the Apple iTunes.
