Steve Jobs optimistic about future Apple products
Apple CEO Steve Jobs has claimed that the upcoming products from the company were “the best I’ve ever seen in my lifeâ€. He added that the company’s move to use Intel processors would pay off in the longer run.
Jobs admitted that Apple is suffering slowing sales of their Mac computers as a lot of potential customers are waiting for newer releases powered by the Intel’s latest processors. However, as they are due to move their entire lineup to Intel based processors by the end of the current year, that problem would soon be sorted out.
Jobs said on this issue: “Intel has a great roadmap. This new [Intel Core Duo] chip is phenomenal—it blows away anything other suppliers have, including our former suppliers.†He also showed his enthusiasm about the newly launched MacBook Pro. He said: “Everyone wants a MacBook Pro because they are so bitchin’.â€
Jobs also made it clear that he does not see himself heading Disney anytime soon as the market rumors have claimed. He said: “I think Bob Iger is the best person to be running Disney. I’ll be on the Board, which will require less of my time than when I was running Pixar.â€
