Apple might soon double storage space on iPod nano
Analysts for American Technology Research have claimed that the Apple Computers are working on doubling the storage capacities of their Apple iPod nano digital music player.
Analyst Shaw Wu wrote in a note to their clients: “Our most recent checks indicate the current 2GB and 4GB nano models will see their storage doubled to 4GB and 8GB capacities.â€
With memory prices falling and Apple signing new deals with Flash memory manufacturers, it seems quite possible that nano will see a storage capacity boost in the coming months.
AmTech has also said that the player might gain basic video capabilities. Wu wrote: “We anticipate these new nanos will become available in the September Quarter and become top sellers, particularly if Apple keeps the price points low at $199 and $249.â€
The company is also said to be working on developing newer ways to increase the battery backup of the Apple iPod players especially when playing digital video content.
