Fox Interactive Media acquires Newroo Inc. and kSolo.com

News Corp. owned Fox Interactive Media has confirmed that they have acquired two more startups. This time the Rupert Murdoch owned company has gone for online services aimed at letting users remix their own music and other digital content on the internet.

Fox has acquired Newroo Inc. and kSolo.com. The financial details of these new acquisitions have not been revealed. Newroo provide tools for web users to find relevant information online, which they can then use on their own websites and blogs.

kSolo on the other hand provide tools to let web users sing, record and share their digital music by using already available database of songs.

News Corp is betting big on the internet for growth and they have invested heavily in acquiring web services including MySpace and others.

Ross Levinsohn, President of Fox Interactive Media said in a statement on their latest acquisitions: “Fox Interactive Media’s acquisitions of Newroo and kSolo demonstrate our commitment to empowering users with interesting tools that they can use to further enhance their online experience and online identity.”
