Jeffrey Toback sues Google over child porn
Looks like everyone today wants to sue search engine giants Google for some reason or the other. Google has lost some cases and won some. But, the lawsuits are coming in by the dozen.
The latest one involves a Long Island politician named Jeffrey Toback who has sued Google claiming that the company is profiting from illegal child pornography.
He claims that the search engine giant has paid links to porn websites which involves child pornography… the complained filed in the state Supreme Court in Mineola says: “This case is about a multi-billion dollar company that promotes and profits from child pornography.â€
Google has denied any reality in such a claim as a company representative said: “When we find or are made aware of any child pornography, we remove it from our products, including our search engine. We also report it to the appropriate law enforcement officials and fully cooperate with the law enforcement community to combat child pornography.”
Interestingly, the lawsuit is not seeking any specific monetary damages but is looking forward to Google prohibiting any advertising relating to Web sites that display, market or otherwise provide illegal access to pornography.
