YouTube now accepts videos directly from mobiles
YouTube is one of the most popular video sharing websites in the world. And they now have started a new service which enables the consumer to skip the computer completely to post their new videos.
YouTube is now accepting video clips taken from mobile phones and PDAs with built in video shooting capabilities.
As a result, users can simply upload the video to the online service as soon as they take them while on the move. They are currently supporting users having an Internet access or data plan wit Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.
They can upload the video clips using Multimedia Messaging Service feature on their portable devices. This makes it very handy for the consumers to upload new digital content on to YouTube’s service.
Until now, the website required the customer to first transfer video onto a computer before sending clips to a Web site. As the competition in this segment is growing fast, YouTube is acting fast to expand their services and keep the web user hooked on to their website.
