Google Mini available in UK now
Search engine giant Google is mainly known for their search engine services. However, they also sell products, which help the company enable search services on their local networks, and Google Mini is one such product, which is targeted at small and medium sized organizations.
The company has now launched Google Mini appliance in the UK market and the rest of Europe. Roberto Solimene, European Enterprise Director from Google said in a statement on this news event: “With more web pages, weblogs, corporate information and other content being created, businesses of every size are having difficulty helping their customers and employees quickly find the information they need. Using the new Google Mini, more UK and European small and medium sized businesses can now have Google quality search on their intranet or public website.”
Google claims that the installation of such a device takes just a couple of hours and users would then be able to search the internal network of an organization. Google Mini has the capability of indexing 100,000 documents and costs less than £2,000.
This appliance comes with support for one year, which includes software updates and hardware replacement coverage. It can be purchased online from Google Mini UK website.
