Google to deliver video ads beginning this week
Search engine and online advertisement market giants Google has confirmed that they would be starting delivering video ads from this week. This would bring a whole new diversified segment to their online advertisement service, which is hugely popular on the internet.
The company is popular for its contextual advertisement that is mostly text based. They have also been supporting graphical ads since quite sometime now.
This new updated service would affect thousands of Web sites that rely on Google’s AdSense service for revenue generation. However, this is expected to be optional for the end user.
Google has however clarified that they would not be running video ads on their own network of sites. But, this latest development shows that the company wants to innovate with its online advertisement business as it looks for new avenues for generating revenues.
Gokul Rajaram, product management director of Google’s AdSense program said in a statement on this initiative: “A certain segment of advertisers have told us that they want richer and more engaging messaging capability.â€
