Toys “R” Us to make an online retailing comeback
Retail stores Toys “R” Us have confirmed that they would soon be re-launching its Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com Web sites with new appearances in July.
The company decided to come out with their new sites after it prevailed in a lawsuit against Amazon.com Inc. and got the right to run an independent retail Web site.
They should be able to launch their independent online retail stores by July 1 and would sport a totally new user interface to attract more customers.
Currently, visitors to both these sites are directed to their stores on Amazon.com web retailing store. The two companies went into collaboration in 2000 and since then they have had their share of conflicts.
Toys “R” Us would be using technology provided by GSI Commerce Inc. for running this online portal.
