Microsoft might acquire Third Screen Media
Software giants Microsoft is rumored to be talking with Third Screen Media for a possible acquisition deal.
This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, which said that Microsoft’s MSN business unit is negotiating to acquire Third Screen Media. This company serves ads for large wireless sites such as those run by USA Today and The Weather Channel.
This is perhaps another market where Microsoft would want to enter and take on the advertisement market giants Google.
Microsoft just recently acquired Massive, Inc., which specializes in ad placements in videogames. The report from the Wall Street Journal however did not provide details on the financial aspects of these rumored talks.
Perhaps advertisements on mobile networks are the next target for the software giant to conquer while they struggle to take on Google in the search engine and online advertisement market.
