Apple Computer working on a Mac for schools and colleges
As per incoming reports, Apple Computers is rumored to be working on developing a Mac computer, which would be targeted at the lucrative education market.
This low cost Mac would replace the eMac line of Apple Computers and they should be out with this new range for the latter half of the 2006 educational buying season.
This would also mean that we might see more Macs from the company powered by the Intel processors. The company has already launched iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro and MacBook products based on the Intel processors.
The new product is expected to based on an all-in-one enclosure and could include the LCD monitor instead of the CRT one. It might be derived from the current generation iMac computers but they would have to find out a way to cut costs to price it competitively.
It is also unclear whether the general user would be able to order these machines for their home and office usage.
