HCL Infosystems to distribute Apple Computers and iPod in India
Apple would now get a wider distribution network in India as they have just signed on a deal with IT Company HCL Infosystems.
The two companies have entered into a strategic but non-exclusive agreement with Apple Computers to distribute the latter’s desktop computers and digital musical device iPod in India.
Ajai Chowdhury, Chairman of HCL Infosystems confirmed this news that they would now be selling Apple computers aimed at educational, media and Entertainment space.
Apple iPod users have good news, as HCL would now be providing complete sales and service support. Apple products currently have a limited regional outlets and this deal would help them target one of the growing markets in the world when it comes to personal computers and digital devices.
This is not the first deal of its kind for HCL as they are in a similar collaboration with the world’s largest maker of mobile phones Nokia. In addition, they also sell and distribute Toshiba laptops in India.
