TransJet: New Brand Identity planned for Air Sahara
India’s largest private airline company Jet Airways plans to rename their recently acquired Air Sahara as TransJet.
This would help Jet Airways phase out Air Sahara’s identity and totally overhaul the brand image of this airline company.
However, this new name is yet to be officially confirmed by the company as Jet Airways chief executive officer Wolfgang Prock-Schauer refused to divulge the new name.
He said however: “We are definitely planning to give a new identity and corporate logo to Air Sahara for the interim period till the deal goes through. Once Air Sahara is finally merged with Jet Airways, the new name will cease to exist.”
Jet Airways would however require mandatory permissions from the DGCA for any name change. The company is expected to start afresh with accounts of this newly planned subsidiary to prevent any damage from the weak financials of Air Sahara.
