Nissan collaborates with Suzuki over Minivans
Nissan Motor and Suzuki Motor have said in a joint statement that they will expand their alliance to include ties in supplying vehicles to their partners in both domestic and international markets.
This deal would help Nissan in improving their sales in both the Japan and the international markets. The company is suffering from slowing sales, as they are due to update their vehicle lineup in the coming months.
This deal would see Nissan supplying minivans to Suzuki. Suzuki on the other hand would be supplying Nissan with a mini vehicle model.
This transfer of vehicles would begin by the end of the current year and Suzuki and Nissan would be selling them under their own brands in the markets.
Nissan is interestingly already selling the Suzuki’s MR Wagon mini car model as Nissan Moco. The deal also would see them share their manufacturing facilities with one of the first such collaborations to happen in the Indian market.
