BBC to show Fifa world cup matches live online
BBC has announced that the matches that will be shown on BBC television will also be available live and free-to-air to British Internet users at the same time.
This will enable the web users to access live feed of the world cup matches online. BBC director of sport, Roger Mosey spoke about their decision: “We know a lot of online viewing is done in the office, so we suspect this will allow people both to do their job and to keep up with the very latest action from Germany.â€
The Fifa Soccer World Cup is due to start from June 9 and would be telecasted by both the BBC and British commercial broadcaster ITV.
BBC has exclusive rights to show England’s second round and quarterfinal games if the team reaches that stage and this new development would bring smiles to the BBC web users in England.
