Blackberry 7130e: Sprint offering broadband enabled Blackberry
Sprint Nextel has announced that they are now selling a new version of the popular Blackberry device capable of using its Power Vision mobile broadband network.
This brings broadband internet connectivity to Research in Motion’s Blackberry technology. Sprint Nextel also plans to offer an upgrade for the owners of an earlier version of the Blackberry to take advantage of the network later in 2006.
Sprint powered Blackberry 7130e would be able to download information across the mobile broadband network at average speeds of 400 to 700K bps. The speeds can go as high as 2mbps in certain areas in the country.
Blackberry 7130e would also support multiple media formats and would come with Bluetooth connectivity. It can also act as a modem for notebooks. Sprint Nextel would sell this device in the market for $199.99 after all discounts and promotions.
