Pioneer delays launch of its Blu-Ray players
It seems that HD DVD players might get an added advantage as the developers of the rival Blu-Ray format are facing difficulties launching their products in the market.
We have already seen HD DVD players selling in the market but Blu-Ray players are still to arrive. The latest information in is that Pioneer has announced a delay in the launch of their players due to hassles in the development process.
They have now shifted the launch to autumn, as they would be unable to ship them to the retail markets this month. The big boost however, for the Blu-Ray camp would arrive with the launch of the Sony’s Playstation 3 gaming console due to arrive in the last months of the current year.
With Microsoft due to launch a HD DVD add-on for their Xbox 360 gaming console… we might have an alternative for that too!
