Robert Scoble leaves Microsoft for PodTech.net

Robert Scoble is one of the most well known Blogger on the internet. He was one of the first ones from the Microsoft to start blogging, which resulted in thousands from the company joining the blogosphere.

Interestingly, Scoble is now leaving the software giant to work for a recently formed Silicon Valley Internet media start-up PodTech.net.

He would become PodTech vice president of content and would be in charge of the division creating shows for the new medium. PodTech showcases video interviews recorded with technology industry luminaries. Scoble confirmed this news on his own blog popularly called Scobilizer.

He also confirmed that there was no pressure from the company for him to stop blogging on the software and corporate policies and he was leaving on his own to pursue into alternative fields. He was one of the forces behind the Microsoft’s Channel 9 network and is beloved on the internet for his insight on technology and Microsoft.

He added in a statement to Reuters on this new journey: “If we make this thing fly, I make more money than I would at Microsoft. If it fails, I don’t.” now, this is a pretty risky step to take.
