Qualcomm and Nokia continues to battle on patent disputes
Wireless technology firm Qualcomm has continued with their efforts to pursue legal cases against mobile phone maker Nokia.
The company confirmed today that they have filed a complaint against the world’s largest maker of mobile phones. Interestingly, this news resulted in a 3% drop in the stock prices of Qualcomm.
They are accusing Nokia of infringing six patents related to GSM, which is the most popular technology for mobile devices around the world.
Nokia responded by saying that they would take all the necessary steps to counter this latest legal attack by Qualcomm.
Qualcomm has filed a complaint with United States International Trade Commission and they are demanding that some of the products of the company should be banned for sale in the region as they infringed upon their patents.
