Google Gbuy expected to be launched soon
While eBay is working hard on decreasing reliance upon Google online advertising with their collaboration with Yahoo! and the launch of a new service named eBay AdContext, Google is going ahead with the planned launch of a payment system codenamed Google Gbuy.
As per incoming reports, Google’s online payment system, Gbuy is expected to be launched sometime later this month. It is expected to compete directly with eBay’s PayPal service and is expected to cost nothing in the initial months of service.
Jordan Rohan, an RBC Capital Markets analyst claimed in a research note that the service might eventually charge 1.5 percent to 2 percent charge per transaction from traders using this online payment mechanism.
Google is yet to comment on these rumors in the market. Market analysts also believe that this service would enable the search engine giant to improve upon their ad selection for individuals by tracking their purchasing habits through this online payment service.
